Yes I'm alive!!!

I know, I know... I suck already at keeping this blog up!!

Things have been busy around here lately.... good stuff... but busy!

I'm just so darn giddy with my new LSS.. Pages in Progress. I have been in there on and off for the past couple weeks trying to help them set up stuff, making samples etc... and I'm just so stinkin' excited for it to open!! I look forward to teaching classes over there!!

I took the girls a couple weeks ago to see Disney Princess' on Ice... cost me a CRAPLOAD but it was SO worth it when as soon as they took the ice Makenna looks at me in awe "Mom, did you see that?".... so worth the moola!! It was a nice night out for just the girls and I.

We are gearing up for the girls Winter Recital. Makenna is in 2 dances and Madi one... they are gonna be too cute! And to boot my 'not so much rythmn' husband will be in a Daddy Dance... should prove interesting (and great pictures too!!)

Morgan made the boys volleyball team at middle school... SO very happy for him! It makes my heart sing to see him play volleyball. Jay and I met playing volleyball oh so many years ago and were both fairly decent at it to boot.... so it just makes me smile to see Morgan play and have talent at it! I love "peppering" out in the front yard with him.

Mitchell and Madison have taken up orchestra in school.... like I don't have enough noise in my house we have now added a Violin and a Viola!!!! It's starting to get better....it's not so much screeching now it's starting to sort of sound like music! LOL

Well last night we did the Trick or Treating thing.... here are some cute pictures of the kids!!

Here is Morgan.. he doesn't like to dress up, but I tell him he can't go door to door and ask for candy if he doesn't dress up... so he dons the ugly clown wig and some mish mash clothes!
Madison was Belle....goodness she looks so pretty here... makes my heart melt!
Mitchell opted for an actual scary costume this year... which was a first!
Matthew wanted to be SpiderMan... so Spider"dude" he was!!! He kept pulling at the mask to get it over his eyes and mouth just right and ended up pulling the fabric, hence the lines all over the mask!
And Makenna decided to be Belle also! Her long pretty hair with little curls in it was darn sweet!!
As soon as we got home the kids poored all the candy out and started the trading!!

In scrappy news... I had a layout picked up by ST for Feb... and a card for the CARDS mag.... love when I get some LOVE! Also... so excited to be contributing to my sweet friend Linda's upcoming book with Memory Makers! I also made a goal this year and had a page picked up for BHG Feb issue (let me tell you I was STOKED!!).

I'm going to TRY not to make it so long between posts this time!! LOL
Thanks for sticking with me... well if you did I mean!

Fun pictures!!

I know it's been forever since I've posted anything.... been a bit busy! LOL

Here are some fun photos to make ya giggle while I get my head on straight and can make an actual post with some facts! These pictures were taken a couple week ago when I was out of town! These are some awesome gals that I had so much fun with!

Here's one of Linda, Summer, and I :) Ummm yeah we had a good time!
This just shows Kimber's TRUE love of the Crop-a-dile!!
This one here pretty much sums up the week in Phoenix!!

I'm back!!

I am SO darn tired too!

The convention went really well, and Pageframes were so popular! Kimber and I taught our album and everyone really seemed to enjoy the class, such fun gals!!
It's always nice to see friends again! Tara and Holly.... I miss them already, so nice to just hang out again! I met Natalia, the owner of Couture Scrapbooking and she is a hoot! I don't think she knew quite what to think of me... but we had a blast!
And Kimber... well it's always nice to hang with my girl! Good gracious the 2 of us are fun together!! We both decided we could do some serious damage if we were to actually live closer together! LOL

Summer flew in on Saturday night and met us all at the Hard Rock Cafe... um yeah... we had a good time! hehe.... then we dragged our butts out of bed and headed over to Scottsdale for the Xyron Technical Support training!
While we trained for several days we also had loads of fun!!
I got to hang out and meet some of the awesome Project X girls: Summer Fullerton, Linda Harrison, Angie Hagist, Tracey Odachowski, Eva Flake, Alexis Hardy, Jen Grant and Tena Sprenger..... oh my word.... we had SO much fun together!! I love meeting new friends, especially friends that are those "instant connections".

While it's nice to get away some times from the everyday here, I missed this herd like crazy!! As soon as I got home I went in to kiss each of them.... Matthew crawled in bed with me this morning for some cuddling... oh how I miss that!!

Also.... in some FUN scrappy news!!!!!!!!!!
I have joined forces with some fabulous girls and created stamps for Super T's !!! We are a brand new stamp company and all of these rockin' gals have made stamps... Me, Amy Teets, Tracy Whitney, Jolie Thomas, Kristi Hellyer, and the big cheese Heather Stanworth!!
I love the name Super T's.... it's all about channeling the inner "Super Hero" in all of us! Check out the site and get you some awesome new stamps!!! :)

I think that's all for now! I need to get busy around here and get caught up!!

Another one bites the dust...

Sigh... it never fails!! Just as I am fixing to go out of town the house is coming down with strep!! Morgan this morning tested positive for strep... goodness! I'm assuming this will make its rounds around the house as usual, since all my herd are big fans of the strep!!! GRRR!!

Well I have all my supplies for the class in Phoenix and I leave Wed. afternoon!! It looks like I will be putting class kits together in the room... once again JOY! I'm getting excited though to see all the gals! I'll be there through Sunday... then after that I will be in training for my new job with a super fun company!!! (scrappy company I will share later) Can you say over the top thrilled!! So I will be there for training until the following Thursday....
basically I'm saying all this for all of you blog readers out there... (like 4 of you? LOL) that there won't be any updates for awhile! LOL

In other good news....there is a HUGE store opening up here in Tucson. Pages in Progress! I went up the other day to talk to them and I'm giddy that they want me to teach classes and help with designs and stuff! Giddy I tell ya! The owners are so nice and fun, so I think the store will be a huge success!

Here's a peak of the album Kimber and I are teaching in Phoenix this week!

Here's are my layouts.... to see the rest of the awesome design team, head over to the gallery!

Yep this is me when I was a little thing!

Do you Love Chipboard??

If you are a chipboard lover like myself... head over to Magistical Memories and get in on the action! Each month we have a contest and you can win some awesome chipboard!!!

This month the theme is Super Heros!!! Check out the details here! What's the prize??? UMMM... $50 bucks to shop and get all the Magistical you want!!! How's that for a hum-dinger!?!?

Well Morgans game was today but I didn't get there until it ended! GRRRR..... sometimes I wish I could clone myself!! Once the younger 4 got home from school, I had to run and pick up Buddy (the dog) from the vet clinic, then once I got home I was waiting for Jay to get home from work (he had to meet with the big wig and couldn't leave), he didn't get home in time to run the girls to dance, so off I go. Well by the time he got there and the time I am walking up to the game, I hear the damn buzzer!!! GRRR... so I missed the whole thing! :( Morgan didn't play in this game though, but I would have still liked to see the team!

Kenna is up and running today... back to herself!! Now I need to keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't spread around!!

So happy!

Last night was Morgans first basketball game. Now we weren't sure if he was going to be able to play... basically he is on a team with like 15 8th graders, and he is one of 3 6th graders. BUT HE PLAYED!!! He got to come in the 4th quarter and I was just giddy!! He did so well too... I know he will have more playing time in the future! So darn proud of him!
And would ya know it, I didn't take my camera.... I know bad mom!!! Sometimes it feels good though to just go and enjoy without looking behind a lense!

Funny story.... I had a huge box yesterday from Xyron and I was just giddy with all that was in it... and Makenna heard me on the phone telling whoever "Man I could have just kissed him when I saw him bring my box to the door!".... later that night she said "Mom I heard you say you were going to kiss that man"... I tried to explain that it was just an expression, she wouldn't hear it.. laughing telling me I'm only supposed to kiss daddy. I almost fell over laughing!!

Speaking of Makenna... she's got STREP!! Poor little thing has been home for 2 days cuddling with mommy! Just in time too *insert eye roll*, I am going out of town for a week next week and poof here comes strep in my house once again! When I left in May when mom was here, they whole herd got it, Morgan got it twice! So timing is just perfect for them to all get it again... good gracious talk about timing!!

Tomorrow Morgan has another game... this time I'm taking my camera!! So tomorrow won't be another "no photo post"......

Later gaters!!

Upload Day at Busy Bee!!

Well today is upload day at Busy Bee Scrapbooking for the DT!!
Heather has SO many new fun things coming in the store lately, it's hard not to go crazy!!

I just got word of a new store opening up here in Tucson.. oh my word!!! I could not be anymore excited!! It's called Pages in Progress, I've contacted them about possibly teaching... fingers crossed!!

I am finally done with the album for CKC and have all the instructions written up. I love the little album and I hope everyone else does too! SO happy with all the companies that donated... Hambly, Dream Street, Inque Boutique, Sakura, and Glitz!! I'm still waiting on one more thing so that I can get these kits packed... my WONDERFUL local gals have offered to help me pack kits... and you can bet your booty I'm gonna take them up on it!!

Peace out! :)

Relaxing Sunday!

Gotta love 'em!!

We all did our Sunday cleaning. I think the kids are finally starting to realize, it all goes much faster when they ALL help!! So the house is all clean... now laundry- that's another story! That crap is never ending... so tempting to let the herd just wear underwear unless we leave the house! LOL

We headed out to see Underdog today at the theater on base. Gotta love to be able to get the entire herd into the movies for $10... off base it would have been a house payment to get us all in!

This afternoon I got a lovely email for the MM Fabulous Friends book!!! Thanks so much Kitty and Wendy!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!

I have started to neglect this blog already... I never was any good at keeping a journal!

Yesterday the kids were all in school and dh had the day off so we.... brace yourself... SPENT THE DAY TOGETHER!!!! I don't think we have had a chance to just hang out since, well since I don't know when! I had never golfed before and dh wanted me to give it a shot with him. Well I did... wasn't too bad at it. See I have control issues.. so for me to let loose and just swing away, yeah I was struggling a bit at first. We ended up playing 9 holes and had a fun day.
Today though... I am sore in places I didn't know I had! Good gracious!!

The kids are good... Morgan is LOVING basketball. I'm hoping he really gets a chance to play this year, those boys on his team are so big! BUT my Mo has some skills so I'm sure the coach will see it and he will get his playing time.
The twins are adjusting to kinder pretty good and are already wanting to walk to and from to school with Madi and Mitch. I let them one day and had a hard time keeping my nose from the window watching them! We live on base so I am much more comfortable letting them spread their wings here and gaining their confidence and my trust.
Madi and Mitch have both decided to be apart of the orchestra this year... Madi wants to play violin and Mitchell wants to play cello! Our house will never be the same... *sigh*!! LOL

On the scrappy front... I have had a GREAT opportunity come my way, I'll share more later once I get the details and the "for sure's" on it more! So exciting though, it will be a nice opportunity for me to continue to stay at home with the short ones (okay, be available for field trips, volunteering in their classrooms and being here in the morning and afternoon) and make some moola on the side. The moola will help to pay off some bills, we will be retiring here very soon! That in itself is a whole 'nother post!! Jay and I have been discussing it a lot lately.. just what we are going to do! I of course am ready to pack up and be out on the property!!
I want everyday life like this: (this is the herd and my sisters herd heading down to fish on the property!)
Back to work... I have lots of things due here very soon!
I am up to my eyeballs getting the kits ready for the class that Kimber McGray and I are going to teach in a couple weeks at CKC Phoenix
with the Pageframes Clear Album. It's gonna be so much fun to see Tara and all again and spend some time with them!!! If you are going to be in Phoenix September 14-15th, come and see us!!! We will have a booth set up with all kinds of goodies and a make and take!!

Yesterday was a GOOD day!

After I posted yesterday my MMM news... the day got even better!! I swear by 6pm I was floating on a cloud!!

I got 3 requests for Scrapbook Trends... and they haven't always been my biggest fan in the past.... I think though I just finally broke them down with submissions! LOL

Then I went to pick up my oldest from school. He has been in basketball tryouts all week. Let me start by saying we really weren't sure if he would make the team because the team isn't just for 6th graders but for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. And some of those 8th graders are big boys! The coach said in the beginning how height and weight would play a part and well Morgan isn't that big of a kid but he does have some mad skills!!!
Anywho.... I picked him up from school yesterday and he hopped in the van trying to act as if he didn't make it (but I saw the little smirk) and so I asked if he made it... HE DID!!! I was giddy... this by far was my best news of the day!! I'm so proud of this big guy!!!

He was on cloud nine too... he kept mumbling under his breath to himself "I can't believe I made it". We took the whole herd out to eat to celebrate!! I'm just so proud of my bug!!
Oh and I got my Pick of the Patch September kit the other day and I'm just starting to play with it... so beautiful!!!

Come Join me!

I am doing a chat tonight at Serendipity Scrapbooks
I'd love for you to join me! It's around 6:30 my time, I am looking forward to it!!

On another note... brace yourself... I actually went to the gym today!! I am determined to go several times a week if not everyday... all the kids are in school so I actually have the time to go.

Today is upload day at Busy Bee! We have the lovely Linda Harrison as our guest designer this month and her challenge was to be creative with brads! I used the brads around the edge and ran the embroidery floss around it and then added them around my layout

It's been a busy week!
I have finished up a load of projects that had a pretty quick turn around and got them out the door this afternoon, big exhale on that one! LOL

The kids first week of school went so smooth! I picked up Matthew this afternoon and he told me "todays the last day of school!!!" I just said no bud you've got many more days of school to go! LOL such a cutie he is! The older ones are in right back into the swing of things. The older two are walking home but I can't bring myself to let the twins do it yet, hopefully soon though. They want to for sure!!

Tonight.... TONIGHT!!!! What is tonight you ask?

High School Musical 2 of course!!! We are going to pick Morgan up from Basketball tryouts, come home and order pizza and then do some serious snuggling on the couch and watching it!!! I'm going try to take some pics of them all curled up watching it. I have to admit I'm a bit of a fan too!

Until then....

First Day of School

Well I made it and so did they!!
When I woke up this morning around 6am... I looked into Makenna's room and she was awake... and she is NEVER awake early! LOL I creeped in there and asked if she was excited, needless to say she was pretty giddy.
The tears started the last night. I was going to check in on all the short ones before I went to bed and just starting crying... I mean once they start there is no turning back! :(
Anywho... got everyone up and running this morning. We headed off to school with pancake filled bellies and everyone was excited. Matthew was NERVOUS though... chewing his lip the whole time. Here's a picture of him that basically sums up his morning...I love the one of him chatting with Jay before going into class...by the time I went in to have lunch with them he was totally okay and loving it!

Madison was SO super cute this morning with her new haircut, she wanted it all flipped out on the sides... I think we pretty much nailed that for her! Look how darn cute she is... growing up WAY too fast too!!! grrrr....

And here is my other beautiful daughter... she practically skipped out of the house. She was totally in her element, no fear what-so-ever I swear it! (somehow I jacked up her picture... I'll play to make it better later, here is what I have right now) :)
Mitchell looked so darn handsome on his first day of 4th grade. He was excited to get back to school and see his friends and to get to do more work. That kid is so smart it's scary!
And then there's Morgan... the oldest at 11. He started Middle School this year. He didn't act nervous at all, but then why would he right? He's a cool middle schooler now and Morgan rarely gets nervous for much. I'm SO proud of him this year... *caution, major child bragging fixing to go on here!* he is in the Self Contained GATE (Gifted and Talented Educ) part of his middle school. Only the top 6% of the kids tested get into these schools!!! So he is in class all day with other GATE students, only going into general population for his lunch and electives. Did I mention I am so proud of him??
He's growing his hair out long... so as much as it made me mental at first I'm actually growing to like it. Plus I figure I need to choose my battles, his hair isn't one of them! LOL
So all in all it was a good day... and I managed to keep myself busy!

Fun weekend

We are gearing up for school here... tomorrow is my kids last day of freedom before they head back to school. We have hair cuts done, house cleaned, school shopping done, all we need to do is pack backpacks, paint nails and we should be ready to go!!

Last night I went to my lss and cropped... good gracious those gals are so much fun! I was a busy little bee last night, got 3 layouts done!! I don't have pics yet, but I'll put them here when I get some shots tomorrow. It was a Pirate themed party so there are some pretty darn funny pictures of all of us... hopefully one of the girls will send me some pics... I *gasp* forgot my camera to get my own!

School Shopping

Well I went out and braved Old Navy to finish up school shopping for all the short ones. Whew... 5 kids for school do NOT amount to a cheap shopping trip! But I'm about done... might need some things here and there but we should be good, until it gets cold!
Hopefully the Gap and Old Navy online orders get here in time, they have backpacks in them!

I am totally stressing on the fact that my babies, the twins will start Kinder this year!? Where on earth does the time go? What if they need me, or need something? I know it's silly, the rest of the herd survived Kinder so I have no idea why I'm having such a hard time with the twins starting. Then there's Morgan starting middle school (that brings up a whole new set of worries)... I will be a blubbering mess next Tuesday!!

I'll leave ya with this beautiful shot of my daughter... for those of you that haven't seen her new haircut! She got it cut last month, she wanted a "big girl do"... so that's what we did! She got about 7 inches cut off! I love it!!

Fun Happenings!

Matthew is a two wheel riding fool now!!! Jay took him out a couple days ago and gave him a single push and off he went. This kid is such a natural it's scary!
Now all he wants to do it bike ride. The moment he wakes up "mom can I go ride my bike now?", I have to remind him that he needs nourishment and some shorts first!
This is my favorite of him riding his bike, love it!! The picture of Madison putting on Matthews helmet warms my heart like you wouldn't believe!!

Oh and brace yourselves!!! My sweet oldest daughter Madison finally got the courage up to tackle the 2 wheeler!!! I am SO proud of her for facing her fears and just doing it! She told me "well mom I saw Matthew do it so I just knew I could do it too".

Uploads at Busy Bee!

"3 Minutes Flat" taken down for publication!

Well yesterday was upload day at Busy Bee
Here are a couple layouts I uploaded.... I love the new Cherry Arte papers, SO fun!! I used some of the oh so fun new Magistical Memories chipboard to boot!

Makenna is such a hoot, these two layouts are totally her lately! Love it!

Giving this another shot...

Okay I failed totally at my last attempt to keep a blog, but I figure why the heck not. Let's give this another go!
With my family up my rear on occasion ( I think they have given up on me) to send pictures and share stuff, I figure this is a "all in one" for them all! :)
