December GB projects and more!!

If you are stopping by to check out my DD album... er.. um... I have been taking pictures but I"m waiting on ink to come in so I can print and get my pictures in the album!! :) it's coming! LOL

We have been in football world here in Eastland, Texas! Up until last week :( we have been playing in the playoffs... we had a tough loss last week but still so proud of our boys for making it again to the Quarterfinals this year! We have been in pep rally and 'prepare and live for Fridays' mode around here... anyone in Texas can attest to the madness that comes with the Friday night lights! :) I love it though... as much as I'm sad to see it go I'm excited for basketball season to start! Here are a few pictures from playoffs!

The girls did a skit during the pep rally where they choose a boy to immitate.. and of course Madison chose her boy Luis... so she is decked out in his hat and jersey here:
then showing off some sweet moves acting like the boys! lol
her and Luis after a win!

This was one of the big signs in the gym for the last pep rally:
a picture of the varsity cheerleaders...
here is a picture at the end of the pep rally... that's the middle school student body behind the football players and cheerleaders (yes that's ALL of them 6th-8th).. the high school kids and parents sit facing the cheerleaders... (we are a TINY school.. lol)... see that big ol sign? a friend and I spent a day painting that bad boy for this pep rally... all.day.long... so worth it though.. it kicked butt! :)
this is the good stuff in a small town... in front of the stadium we all gather to send our boys off.. the come down the main street in buses honking and we set off balloons, yell and holler and hold big ol signs! The whole town and all the school age kids will come out down the route to send them off.. this was just in front of the stadium where we were....

Exciting stuff! :)

Alrighty now here are my November GB projects!

First up is some shots of Makenna I got on her first day of 5th grade.. she is growing up WAY too fast this little one! I loved the flowers in the paper and cut them out and used them as embellishments to pull out the flower pattern in her skirt.

These are some older pictures that I love and wanted to get scrapped... from a friends wedding last summer! Love all the kids... they are like family for us!

Here was my main kit only layout... I used my new Cameo <3 a="a" and="and" background="background" circle="circle" cut="cut" daddy...="daddy..." daughter="daughter" do="do" dress="dress" fun="fun" he="he" her="her" him="him" just="just" lets="lets" lol="lol" loves="loves" my="my" of="of" p="p" page="page" pattern.="pattern." she="she" still="still" the="the" to="to" up="up" wanted="wanted" youngest="youngest">

and then just a few quick cards... LOVED this fun bright kit!
here's just a hodge podge card.. not really sure what's going on here I just loved all these tags and wanted to use them somehow together... so this is what I came up with! LOL
I just recieved my January GB kit.. I don't know how Lori does it but they keep getting better and better!!! Can't wait for my ink to come in so I can get busy creating!!!
Thanks for stopping by! :)

November GB projects!

This beautiful Gossamer Blue kit has been hands down my favorite kit *so far* to work with... the colors were amazing and everything just "fit"! I wish I had more time to play with this kit, I could have created forever I think.... this is one that will get pulled out again to make more goodness!
First up is a page about my oldest daughter and her best friend Derrick. This kid has been by my daughters side since we moved here almost 5 years ago... they are thick as thieves and are so wonderful together. I love their friendship! This will be one of those friendships that last far beyond high school! And I am rarely able to get good pictures of these two because they go stupid as soon as I pull out my camera... so I treasure this one! LOL
 and a quick close up!
Next up... when I saw this map paper in the kit I knew I needed to search through and find some of my pictures from when we lived in Germany. These Holland pictures were perfect! I took all these shots when we went to Holland on a girls trip for Mothers Day one year with 3 of my closest friends... this was one of my favorite trips ever!! The scenery was beautiful! These pictures are just of the little place we stayed while visiting there... the top right picture was our view of the canal when we opened our door... hello beautiful!!!
a few close ups of the page...

And last but not least... my girls!! I snapped these pictures after church one day and they are some of my favorites!! but then I think I say that everytime I take pictures of the girls! They look so much alike but their personalities couldn't be more different!! lol

Well thanks for stopping by my blog! Have a great week!

October Gossamer Blue projects!

Stopping by to share my October Gossamer Blue projects for the month.... this kit was SO very jam packed and I was so saddened that I had hardly any days whatsoever in September to work with this kit... every single extra minute was spent up at the flower shop making Homecoming Mums... well Homecoming has finally come and gone and I used the extra money I made to buy me one of these babies....

oh
my
heavens...

I'm a happy girl!! :)

I'm giddy I can use it to cut the really cool Lori Whitlock svg files that are in each Gossamer Blue kit! I'm pretty excited about this little new baby of mine! :)

Here are the layouts that I made using the October Gossamer Blue kit...

First up is pretty self explanatory... this was all the kids first day of school last year... Morgan a Sophomore, Madison a Freshman, Mitchell in 8th, and the twins in 4th grade! whew!

I just love the pictures for this layout... these pictures were taken on two different nights right after one of our dogs was hit up on the highway and killed :(.... Matthew was having such a hard time and so Madison curled up with him in bed and held him till he fell asleep. How sweet is that? That's one of those "damn I can't be screwing them up that bad" moments sometimes this momma has! LOL

This one is just some photos I had from the day Morgan was invited into the Beta club at school.... proud day for this momma for sure! I love the picture with his classmates Shelbi and Cassidy most... these three are a pretty close group of friends and I'm glad he will have these pictures to look back through over the years.

Well that concludes my October Gossamer Blue kit projects! LOL

We are busy as ever here with Makenna playing volleyball, Matthew playing soccer and also playing for a traveling soccer team, Morgan will start a new job tomorrow and we are busy on the look for a car for him, Madison is busy with marching band and cheer, then Mitchell is running cross country- playing football- and marching in the band on the drumline with Madison. It's forever non stop around here... oh and did I mention we drive an hr away each week for gymnastics for the girls... damn I'm just tired typing all that! LOL

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!! Go check out the Gossamer Blue kits... I just recieved my November kit yesterday and have it spread all over my table and I"m ready to dive in... seriously one of the prettiest kits I have ever seen! :)

thanks for stopping by! :)

More Sept GB!

I promised to jump on and share the rest of my Gossamer Blue projects for Sept... I'm just a few days late! ;)

This week was a crazy one... Madison had her first pep rally (her and another teammate are responsible for decorating and coordinating the whole thing)... well... Myself and Michelle are the ones that really do all the painting and decorating... the girls just come up with the cheer order! ;) Needless to say it's been a TON of work and I"m glad to have our pep rally behind us....

and the girls signed up for another one towards the end of the season as well... ugh.
Here's a few pictures of our pep rally... the theme was "Wipe out the Tigers"... so a luau theme... LOTS of fun... :)

We set up a little beach scene... this was a huge hit! :) Lots of pictures were taken here after the pep rally!

Check out that super cute sign... ;) Michelle and I made 4 of these huge signs! and each of the cheerleaders had a painted megaphone strung across the back basketball goals... each football player had a football as well strung from the other goals... you can see them in the pictures below too.

We put these around the girls megaphones...
We had several of the football players from each grade get up and have a dance contest wearing coconut bras and grass skirts... this was hilarious!! (the two in the middle one! go sophomore class! lol)

and here's a shot of Madison playing the snare drum (she bops over to the band during their feature).... and Mitchell is on basedrum! :)
and a shot of the girls during the dance...

and a shot from the end of the pep rally where all the varsity fball players go out and join hands with the varsity cheerleaders and sing the school song. The kids in the background are the middle schoolers.. the high schoolers sit across from them in the stadium seats... keep in mind we are a tiny little town... and our whole middle school, high school, teachers from both and parents fit into this gym :) gotta love it!

and now for some craftiness!
Here are the rest of my projects from the September Gossamer Blue kit... swooooooon.

I love this layout with the big banners and bright colors... totally describes the twins and their fun personalities! Just wanted to do a page of them on their big day... turning 10!

Here's just a fun layout about my oldest daughter Madison... she's growing up so damn fast... such a beauty she is! :)

This one is my redneck layout... had to document our rattlesnake kill a few weeks ago! I went outside to watch Madison on the trampoline and looked over to see a baby rattler curled up against the house... so of course I run to get all the kids so we can get ahold of it... Morgan's girlfriend Bonny begged to be the one to get to do the damage and so she did.. this is them posing with it after... it was much longer than I thought it was when it was coiled up... redneck fun at it's finest! :)

and this here is what I get when I leave my camera laying around... uploaded pictures to find these gems of Madison just being Madison! :)

and then just a few more quick cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I just recieved my October Gossamer Blue kit... OH. MY. WORD.... seriously... she packs so much goodness into these kits... I can't wait to print pictures and start creating!!! go grab one quick before they are gone!!! :)

September GB!

Well we have survived the first week of school around here... Morgan is a junior, Madison a sophomore, Mitchell a freshman and the twins are in 5th grade now. Time seems to keep flying by at a pace way too fast for me! eek!
All five had great first weeks of school and seemed to go well for all! Mitchell played in his first high school football game and did well... Madison cheered at her first varsity pep rally and then "Friday Night Lights" football game last night! School has started off great so far! :)
It's a little late but here's a few shots of thier first day of school... (keep in mind I haven't edited these at all...just no time too lol)...

Are they not the cutest little turds!? lol

While the kids were busy making it through their first week of school I was busy making it through my first week at work... I am a Mulberry School teacher (2 yr olds) up at my church... it's a 2x part day preschool program.... first week went well! :)
Up next week is Madison and Alexis' pep rally.... it's ours to coordinate and completely decorate which brings on a huge level of stress! lol On top of that I've been working up at the local flower shop making mums for the upcoming homecoming game! It's a Texas thang! ;)

Okay now onto the crafty stuff! :)
Up today on the Gossamer Blue site is the Design Teams projects for the month of September! I was able to make a butt load of stuff so I will just share some today and then a few more in a couple days! I have to say as much as I made I STILL had loads left over!
Here are a few made with the September Gossamer Blue kit!

First up is a layout about the twins 10th bday party... I got a few shots with some of the girls that came... they are such a fun bunch!

Love that this kit was perfect for girls and boys! and teenage boys to boot! I just love these pictures of my oldest son.... he grew out this beard/stash all summer and when he had to finally shave it for school I have to say I actually miss it! so handsome!

Here's another of my oldest son. This great group of friends is who he has been non stop with since the end of his sophomore year and all through the summer into this year. They are a great group of kids that provide all kinds of entertainment when they are together! LOL The girls would call this group the "Unified Unicorns".... the boys didn't appreciate that and instead just became "The Crew"... 2 have gone off to college this year but the group still remains close.

and then a quick card using the fun cardboard banners!

Check back in a few days and I will share the rest of my projects! (4 more layouts and 2 cards!)

Today the sneak peek of the new October Gossamer Blue kit goes up today as well... check out this goodness!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!
Have a great day! :)
