I hate titles...

Seriously... I can't come up with anything witty...

We had a nice relaxing weekend around here... football 'tryouts' were yesterday... basically all the boys go and work out and the coaches sit around and drool out the kids they want for their team.. hehe... I'm excited to start football season this year! I will have all three boys playing and both daughters cheering for them this year... it proves to be another busy season for sure!

This was our last low weekend before the crazy starts... the first week of school is always easy, nothing to do but school.. we get to do dinner every night around the table and it's just nice. This week it's all starting, with practices etc... I might need a prayer to help me keep my head on.... lol!
Here are a couple projects I have done lately... first one is for the Dream Street Blog featuring the NEW Nature's Poetry collection:

Next up is my card for the CPS #131 sketch

Here are some recent projects that have been published:
This one was in the September Creating Keepsakes readers gallery:
Cards August 2007: (they featured it sideways... this was the way it was supposed to go).. lolThis one was in the recent Aug/Sept 09 issue of BHG:

My Cuties!!

Well as promised here are my first day of school photos! some of them were less than thrilled to pose for me (see last example.. hehe)... but they are learning if they will just give me the standard pose quickly then it's all over faster! what a lovely mom I am... damn it I am trying to record memories, don't they understand this? *snort*

Up first is the oldest Morgan... he'll be in 8th grade, good gracious where does the time go? He will be in high school next year!! eeek!!

And now for my beautiful daughter Madison, she'll be in 7th grade... notice the freshly highlighted hair! goodness...Next up is my middle one, the one that looks just like me! Mitchell will be in 6th grade this year and joining his bro and sis in middle school.... it's so hard to believe this handsome turkey is in middle school! sigh Here's Matthew my 200% all boy... he's in 2nd this year... he was one of the ones that is still learning the "just hold still and give mom a shot and she'll quit" thing... can you tell? and then there's this one... Makenna, my 2nd beautiful daughter who will be in 2nd also this year and has not yet learned the "just smile" routine yet.... sigh
and she was the one that for so many years I could get the best shots of every.single.time... well folks those days are gone for now! loland last up is a shot of them all... right before I throw them all in the car so as to not be late for our first day of school... aren't they cute!? I look at this picture and I still think "HOLY COW I have five kids...!!" love them to pieces!

My final share tonight is my card for CPS this week... Jillibean soup was the sponsor this week!
Core'dinations cardstock, Jillibean Soup- Lentil Soup collection and Jillibean Soup stamps, Storage Unit Inks and More ink, Creative Impression ribbon, button from craft supply, DMC floss, Magistical Memories chipboard

Noel Mignon revealed the new big ol kit for September... and oh it's a doozie!! I was floored when it came in the mail and I got to start working with it... this sucker is packed with goodies!!
Check out this photo... and add Jillibean Soup ribbon and a Melissa Frances tag book to this photo too....Here are a couple layouts that I have finished using the kit too...
I am giddy to start my designing with these kits on a regular basis... thanks Noel! :) Such a great group of fun girls over there...come join us on the boards!
Well all the kids are snuggled in their beds and I am already dreading my alarm clock in the morning... man oh man I hate getting up early!! The kids are a mix of excited and a bit nervous. I have 3 in middle school this year and the twins will be in 2nd grade... yikes!!
I'll post pictures tomorrow of them all decked out in their first day duds!

Whatcha Think?

Ok... so I found this template thing to change up the blog and I am totally loving it!! check out Shabby Blogs for some really cool FREE templates!!

We are gearing up for school to start again next week! Part of me is excited to get back into the regular routine, but then with that comes all the running non stop and the darn alarm clock! grrr!

We had back to school night tonight at the middle school. This was Madison's first time to be among her peers in her cheer uniform... and let me tell ya she was stinkin' cute! Especially sportin' the black eye she got playing on the trampoline last week! ha!

I don't have much I can share... here is a card I did for the CPS blog

Core'dinations cardstock, Dream Street Papers Merry and Bright collection (paper and rubons), Cornish Heritage Farms stick pins, CTMH ribbon, Stampin' Up ink

I received an email that said that my good friend Kimber McGray had been reviewed by A Matter of Memories and I wanted to share it here... what a great review! I was thrilled to contibute to her 1st book! Link
Speaking of Kimber and books... SO excited to have just heard she will have a new card book coming out with F&W... check out her blog for more details!

Ok... just a quick post today... I'm out! I have been working like mad trying to get caught up and get work done and house done etc... I will feel better if I can start school with a "fresh slate"... now lets see if I can get it done! hehe!

Thank You CTMH!!!

Over at the CPS blog we were sponsored by the oh so generous Susan Tomaino, Independant Close to My Heart Consultant. She sent so many goodies I couldn't just do one card for the blog... I knocked out four... take a look!
I used the Nursery Bash D1236 stamps, and a paper pack filled with patterned papers and cardstock (FUN stuff!).

First up is the card based off the CPS #128 sketch:

That last one is now my new personal favorite card! hehe

Have you Seen?

I know I have been a bit absent... but things have been busy around here (I know.. surprise surprise!)

First up!
The Longhorns took fourth in STATE!! We had a fun week up in CCity for the tournament.. I able to get up there for 4 of the 6 nights....in between all that was happening here... it was fun and a good experience for the boys.. so proud!

Next this has been what I was up to this past weekend:

I braved it and took 7 kids and my sister to Six Flags for the weekend (one being my little brother, who was a HUGE help!)... We stayed in a hotel room and just really had a good time! As much as they make me want to pull my hair out sometimes they are really good kids! I am extra proud of Mitchell who rocked all the rides with no fear, gotta love that he takes after his momma!! :)

here's the 'Have you Seen' part!
Core'dinations has 3 new paper packs they debuted at CHA Summer... one being a 'oh my goodness' embossed cardstock.. they teamed up with Jenni Bowlin... I mean HELLO does that get any better... I am currently stalking my mailman waiting for these goodies to get here to work with them!!
