Core'dination's and Tombow Blog Hop - Day Four

Having fun yet?? Inspired?  I've seen some fabulous projects, cards and layouts so far how about you?  I have a little more inspiration today and I know all the rest of the girls do too so be sure to stop by everyone's blog for a chance to win some wonderful prizes!  Tombow products work so well with Core'dination's cardstock!  A great match for a blog hop!
I wanted to create a blue wintery card so I looked to the Core Pastels collection and combined that with the Whitewash Collection to create my card. I folded the whitewash cardstock in half and sanded around the edges and used my ScorPal to emboss the lines around the edge then turned it over and using my Sand It Gadget sanded slightly around the edges to reveal the dark blue core. I then ran the 2 shades of pastel Core through my Cuttlebug and sanded each snowflake carefully. In hindsight I should have left them together and sanded the whole thing before removing the die cut...it would have made it easier and it all not as delicate. I adhered the light blue snowflake using the liquid Tombow glue and then used the clear tabs (I stacked 2 on top of each other to give the snowflake more depth) to adhere the darker blue snowflake. I added jewels and stamped some to complete my card!

September GB kit projects!

Hi y'all!
Once again I went a little nuts with projects with this kit and knocked out 8 layouts and a set of cards! woop!! so I'll space them out sharing them over the month...
this kit made me smile! I'm a HUGE fan of bright colors paired with black so all the chalkboard accents and the bright colors in the kit were a big hit for me!

Here's my layout using the main kit only:
This picture is so sweet of Madison and her good friend Stephanie... this was from a group of cheer pictures... they have cheered together from 7th grade to now their junior year... LOVE!

another layout... this one from a 5th grade photoshoot (last year) of the twins and their friends... so cute! again... the colors popping off this black! LOVE!

and a close up:

I loved this picture from a session my oldest daughter did for her 16th bday and found so many things from the kit that fit her and her personality... so I used them all.. on one layout. lol I used a few of the project life cards here. This is probably one of my favorite layouts from this kit! <3 p="">

and a couple close ups:

We are in full fall swing now around here with school starting. Our first football game was here Friday night and we WON! We were playing a much bigger team and still managed to pull out the win 46-30... I LOVED getting to watch Morgan play finally again. (he hasn't played since his freshman year... not a big fan of football but with some hard convincing from all the coaches and momma he wanted to play alongside his buddies for his senior year... and I'm SO glad he did! He had an awesome game Friday night! Madi also cheered her first game of the season and looked damn cute as ever... and then the bands halftime show getting to see Madison on quads and Mitchell right beside her on snare just totally made my night!! Matthew starts his peewee football season this week and Kenna should start her travel basketball here soon too... so the normal busy crazy times here at the Moreno household is in full effect! lol

thanks for stopping by! :)

Last of my August GB projects!

Just dropping by to share the last of my Gossamer Blue projects for the month! I've got my September kit in my hot little hands and have been creating away... can't wait to share! :)

Up first is a pretty simple layout... I LOVED this picture... this was another one from our summer trips to Garmisch each year while we lived in Germany.... how awesome is it that this was our view every day to see from our camp site? lucky us for sure! The Bavarian Alps were a sight to see! :)

this layout is filled with GB exclusive papers.. the geo dot paper, the yellow, and the colored arrows.. yep all GB!! Run and grab this kit and get some of this goodness for yourself! :)

and this one... when I first started this layout I didn't like it at all but once finished it turned out to be one of my favorites! I'm not usually an ephemera type gal and don't use it often but there is something about those little tags and such sticking out the bottom of the layout that just make me happy!! They SO fit the whole feel of this layout of Ellis Island! Love when it just happens to work like this! The tag up top pulls out for journaling!

thanks for stopping by! :)

Core'dinations is giving away a package of Glitter Silk, Black Magic, and a sand it set!

Core'dinations Core Essentials (Nassau Blue), Spotted (St. Valentino), Tombow Adhesive Stamp Runner,  Pebbles Inc tag, Gossamer Blue patterned paper, Doodlebug jewels, ScorPal Tool

I used the ScorPal to dry emboss the lines around my card, and sanded the spotted cardstock to show the color core. I then punched and sanded he edges of the scalloped circles before adhering it all with the Tombow adhesive.

Core'dinations: Whitewash (Garden Gate), Spotted (Tulip, Aegean, Forget me Not, St Valentino, and Orange), Core Essentials- Snowflake, Queen and Company jewels (yellow, pink, and purple), MME (turquoise brad), SEI (orange brad), Paper Smooches stamp, Storage Unit Inks & More ink, Marvy Uchida flower punch, ScorPal tool, Tombow Stamp Runner

I used my ScorPal again to emboss the lines to frame the flowers for my card and sanded it slightly. I then punched the flowers from the spotted cardstock (easy peasy design already on them so just sand away!) and then adhered them all with my Tombow Stamp Runner!

More August GB projects to share!

It's been a busy month already... just trying to wrap my head around the fact that it's about time to send the kids back to school again... i'm. so. not. ready.
We are in full swing with football and band two-a-days and starting to get things ready for our first pep rally... then of course homecoming... I'll be up at the flower shop again working away making mums and such!

thought I'd just in and share a few more of my August GB projects with you...I LOVED this kit so much and found it so easy to put together layouts with it.. hence the seven I did this month! lol

Fist up is one of my favorites... I have loved these pictures for so long and just haven't used them on a layout yet! The tag on the side pulls our for journaling... while on our yearly visit to the AFRC resort in Garmisch we were walking around town and saw lots of people gathering on the road so we naturally followed along and happened along this parade! What a neat thing!! Each village had their own flags that were carried and sometimes even swung around all the way along the parade route... each village had a marching band dressed differently representing their villages and then there were ladies in traditional dress from young to old with flowers in the top of their dress- again each village a different style dress... I LOVE that we happened along this parade and it's something the kids still remember to this day! *heart heart heart!* See the "we are here" stamp? Yep... another GB exclusive!

Next layout is another adventure we had while living in Germany... on the same vacation each summer to Garmisch this would usually be our way to travel. When visiting castles or different sites there was usually the option for a buggy ride... the kids loved it and it saved us from having to hear tired kids non stop walking.. and we did a LOT of walking in Garmisch! Such fun memories of these rides too... notice in the picture the driver with a beer in his hand.. this was all.the.time.. everywhere we go there were drinks and all.. the drivers would let the kids wear their hats and on several occasions the horses would toot all the way and the kids would just die laughing! Matthew wasn't always too keen on the horses and got scared several times... but overall it was a good time! lol

I used several of the banner stamps here and the "we are here" stamp again.. see the "good times".. another GB exclusive stamp! this kit was packed with new stamp goodness!
I stamped the world stamp (hero arts) under the vellum down below to give that little spot just a little punch of something.. I loved the vellum there but it needed just a bit more.. so the stamp was perfect!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy the GB layouts this month! I know I had fun creating them! :)

and Imaginisce you can win this:

Got your attention now? lol I can't say enough about both of these amazing companies... both so generous and with products that pretty much scrap themselves! Gotta love that!

I was sent the summer kit to play with from Imaginisce...what fun it was!
Here's the layout I did combining Core and Imaginsce!
I used my Scor-Pal to dry emboss the border around the edge. To do that I simply flipped my cardstock over and used the bone folder and the handy dandy lines of the scor-pal to dry emboss lines around the edge, then flip my cardstock over and sand slightly. I also embossed the yellow and blue paper using embossing folders and sanded them slightly to reveal the colored core to the papers. Then add the fun Imaginisce paper and die cuts and this was a layout that came together quickly!
here's a close up of all the embossing!

now here are all the gals I am hopping with today... be sure to check them each out! :)

From the Core team:
Ellen
Kim (YOU ARE HERE)Jill

and from the Imaginisce team:

August Gossamer Blue projects!

ooooh man can you believe it's August already??
HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY to Gossamer Blue... doesn't even seem possible it's been that long! What an amazing kit each month Lori has put together and it just thrills me to the core that I'm apart of this amazing team and I get to create with the GB goodness each month!!

now onto some of my August projects... I'm going to space them out a bit cause I went a little overboard again and did 7 layouts with this kit... and time permitting I probably have the supplies for many more.. (time permitting being the key word... which means not happening! lol)

First up is my Main Kit Only layout...to look at these pictures just make me laugh! While stationed in Germany we had opportunities to do so many things... including a girls weekend away to Holland... love these pictures of my girlfriends and I on our road trip up there!

Next up is a few pictures I got from our trip to New York and seeing the statue of Liberty... we decided not to actually take the tour but opted instead to just take some pictures and head straight to Ellis Island...
See the banner stamp I used... that's a GB exclusive! Also... the "good times" stamps.. .that too... SO much goodness in this kit! :)

The moment I saw these arrows in the kit I set them aside because I knew I wanted to do a "subway" layout with them... this layout literally came together in 30 minutes or less... SO great when that happens.. AND liking the way it turned out- bonus! :)

and that's all I have to share for now of my GB kit... I have lots more to go!
Thanks for stopping by!

Last of the July GB projects!

"Cards with Kim" went live over on the Gossamer Blue blog... head over there to check out the instructions for these two quick and easy cards using the July Gossamer Blue kit! :)

and last up in my July GB projects was my layout for the Fancy Pants feature... this layout is featuring all new FP product.... this stuff was SO much fun and I love how this layout just scrapped itself... gotta enjoy when that happens! lol
love this sweet picture... another shot from Madison and Luis prom photoshoot :)
oooooh the cork here... love love love the cork accents in this kit!

Also super fun news over on the GB blog... LOTS of new gals to work with! So happy to have such talent on the team and still pinch myself Lori asked me to join in the beginning!

Well this is coming up on our last week of freedom before the school chaos starts... part of me is ready for it all and part of me just doesn't want to have to deal with it....
I DID finish up Morgans senior ad for the football program for this year... yes I said SENIOR ad... I'm gonna need major tissue this year I'm sure there will be lots of tears to shed!

thanks for stopping by! :)

More GB July goodness!

Heres' some more of my July Gossamer Blue goodness! I had so much fun with this kit!
First layout is just a fun one of my youngest sons last day of school pool party at a friends house... these boys are such a tight knit group they are gonna be fun to watch grow into middle school and beyond!
I fell SO in love with the cork accents in this kit... seriously I want to use them on everything! How cute are they? yum!!

and a few close ups...

and another layout from the pool party... Matthew is so fun about letting me get fun shots of him! love this kid!

This layout just makes me smile... these were a few of the prom photos from Luis and Madi's prom shoot... there are some really sweet ones but these seem to capture them better for sure! Just being silly with each other. The chalkboard tape on here was super fun and neat to add my journaling too at the end!

Oooooh and this little beauty! I took these pictures as soon as we got home from her last day of school... how damn cute is she? It's so hard to believe her and Matt are going to be in middle school next year.. just not possible! sniff sniff! I LOVED that this kit had so many options... this is a soft and pretty girlie layout and the layout about is more dark and has an older feel to it... Great job Lori again on a fabulous well rounded kit!

Well that about sums up this pretty kit... I still have another layout and a set of cards to share... I'll put those up in a few days! :)

We are gearing up for the whirlwind of school starting soon around here... last week of freedom is next week then we start 2 a day football and band and then school starts!
This year is gonna start a few years of me just being a blubbering idiot... Morgan will be a senior this year and Madison a junior and Mitchell a sophomore... so one after the other I will lose them in the house... gracious I'm just not ready! :(
It's time to start deciding on colleges and filling out paperwork and all that....it's go time!

Thanks for stopping by!

July Gossamer Blue projects!

oooooh to say this Gossamer Blue kit was a good one would be an understatement! As soon as I got this kit I dove in and created EIGHT layouts... yeah I said EIGHT! lol.... I could have scrapped so many more layouts with all the fun summer photos I have of the kids, but ran out of time! The awesome thing is... I STILL have tons of kit leftover... I am still shock even after almost a year on the team of how much Lori packs in these kits for us!
So I'm not going to overwhelm you and show them all at one but spread them out a bit! lol

Up first was a layout that came together super fast using lots of premade embellishments and die cuts... gotta love that! I love this picture of my twins friends from a pool party they had a friends house on the last day of 5th grade... yes sniff sniff... they are going to be in middle school next year... seriously WHERE does the time go!

and a few close ups...

Next up are some fun pictures of my oldest daughter Madison...oh what a beauty she is! I wanted to make a fun carefree layout... which totally describes her personality to a T!
 and some close ups
See those little heart geo puffy geo tag stickers by Skipping5.. I fell in total love with them with this kit! I tried to stick them anywhere I could on my layouts.. FUN stuff and neat company! :)

and last as I was searching through old photos I came across these pictures of my middle son Mitchell and I swear my heart melted a little... he is so damn cute! lol There was some fish patterned paper in the 6x6 pad in the Bits & Pieces kit I was giddy with and wanted to use... and so this layout was born!

 and the close up:
I had never really messed with cork or the chalkboard stuff much but after this kit... I find myself reaching for it all the time! That Chalkboard tape... oh my... that stuff was awesome! See the little fish I drew across it in the photo above? the possibilities with that stuff is unlimited!

In life news...
We've been busy beavers around these parts lately. I've had the oldest leave and return from team camp (varsity basketball team camp), the twins leave and return from church camp (first overnight camp for them both) and they did awesome! Madison and Mitch went on their Mission trip week before last and Madison just completed cheer camp this week!
Fun news to share... Mitchell ran in the Glow Run here in town with several hundred people and took THIRD place overall... I was shocked when I saw him rounding the corner not far behind 2nd place but far in front of the 4th place runner.. my little Mitch whooping tons of butt in one of the younger age groups!
Craptastic photo but here he is getting his medal for winning his age division! so proud!
another goodie! Madison was away at cheer camp this week and took home the honor of making All American! This is something at camp that they have to try out for and make to be named... there were over 400 girls at camp! Go Madison! (her on the right... with her bf Stephanie!)

Thanks for stopping by! Stop by again and I plan to share a few more of the layouts I did with the amazing July Gossamer Blue kit!
