More Sept GB!

I promised to jump on and share the rest of my Gossamer Blue projects for Sept... I'm just a few days late! ;)

This week was a crazy one... Madison had her first pep rally (her and another teammate are responsible for decorating and coordinating the whole thing)... well... Myself and Michelle are the ones that really do all the painting and decorating... the girls just come up with the cheer order! ;) Needless to say it's been a TON of work and I"m glad to have our pep rally behind us....

and the girls signed up for another one towards the end of the season as well... ugh.
Here's a few pictures of our pep rally... the theme was "Wipe out the Tigers"... so a luau theme... LOTS of fun... :)

We set up a little beach scene... this was a huge hit! :) Lots of pictures were taken here after the pep rally!

Check out that super cute sign... ;) Michelle and I made 4 of these huge signs! and each of the cheerleaders had a painted megaphone strung across the back basketball goals... each football player had a football as well strung from the other goals... you can see them in the pictures below too.

We put these around the girls megaphones...
We had several of the football players from each grade get up and have a dance contest wearing coconut bras and grass skirts... this was hilarious!! (the two in the middle one! go sophomore class! lol)

and here's a shot of Madison playing the snare drum (she bops over to the band during their feature).... and Mitchell is on basedrum! :)
and a shot of the girls during the dance...

and a shot from the end of the pep rally where all the varsity fball players go out and join hands with the varsity cheerleaders and sing the school song. The kids in the background are the middle schoolers.. the high schoolers sit across from them in the stadium seats... keep in mind we are a tiny little town... and our whole middle school, high school, teachers from both and parents fit into this gym :) gotta love it!

and now for some craftiness!
Here are the rest of my projects from the September Gossamer Blue kit... swooooooon.

I love this layout with the big banners and bright colors... totally describes the twins and their fun personalities! Just wanted to do a page of them on their big day... turning 10!

Here's just a fun layout about my oldest daughter Madison... she's growing up so damn fast... such a beauty she is! :)

This one is my redneck layout... had to document our rattlesnake kill a few weeks ago! I went outside to watch Madison on the trampoline and looked over to see a baby rattler curled up against the house... so of course I run to get all the kids so we can get ahold of it... Morgan's girlfriend Bonny begged to be the one to get to do the damage and so she did.. this is them posing with it after... it was much longer than I thought it was when it was coiled up... redneck fun at it's finest! :)

and this here is what I get when I leave my camera laying around... uploaded pictures to find these gems of Madison just being Madison! :)

and then just a few more quick cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I just recieved my October Gossamer Blue kit... OH. MY. WORD.... seriously... she packs so much goodness into these kits... I can't wait to print pictures and start creating!!! go grab one quick before they are gone!!! :)

September GB!

Well we have survived the first week of school around here... Morgan is a junior, Madison a sophomore, Mitchell a freshman and the twins are in 5th grade now. Time seems to keep flying by at a pace way too fast for me! eek!
All five had great first weeks of school and seemed to go well for all! Mitchell played in his first high school football game and did well... Madison cheered at her first varsity pep rally and then "Friday Night Lights" football game last night! School has started off great so far! :)
It's a little late but here's a few shots of thier first day of school... (keep in mind I haven't edited these at all...just no time too lol)...

Are they not the cutest little turds!? lol

While the kids were busy making it through their first week of school I was busy making it through my first week at work... I am a Mulberry School teacher (2 yr olds) up at my church... it's a 2x part day preschool program.... first week went well! :)
Up next week is Madison and Alexis' pep rally.... it's ours to coordinate and completely decorate which brings on a huge level of stress! lol On top of that I've been working up at the local flower shop making mums for the upcoming homecoming game! It's a Texas thang! ;)

Okay now onto the crafty stuff! :)
Up today on the Gossamer Blue site is the Design Teams projects for the month of September! I was able to make a butt load of stuff so I will just share some today and then a few more in a couple days! I have to say as much as I made I STILL had loads left over!
Here are a few made with the September Gossamer Blue kit!

First up is a layout about the twins 10th bday party... I got a few shots with some of the girls that came... they are such a fun bunch!

Love that this kit was perfect for girls and boys! and teenage boys to boot! I just love these pictures of my oldest son.... he grew out this beard/stash all summer and when he had to finally shave it for school I have to say I actually miss it! so handsome!

Here's another of my oldest son. This great group of friends is who he has been non stop with since the end of his sophomore year and all through the summer into this year. They are a great group of kids that provide all kinds of entertainment when they are together! LOL The girls would call this group the "Unified Unicorns".... the boys didn't appreciate that and instead just became "The Crew"... 2 have gone off to college this year but the group still remains close.

and then a quick card using the fun cardboard banners!

Check back in a few days and I will share the rest of my projects! (4 more layouts and 2 cards!)

Today the sneak peek of the new October Gossamer Blue kit goes up today as well... check out this goodness!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!
Have a great day! :)

I'm Alive! and Gossamer Blue!

I know it's been months since I have updated my blog... to be honest I have really taken a step back with scrapbooking for the past several months. I have stayed with a few teams but haven't really even put together a scrapbook pages in almost 6 months I think! I have enjoyed time with my kids and just keeping up with them!
I am happy to say though that while away I really began to miss the craft that I love so much and am excited to get back on the creative train again! :)
It's been awhile back that Lori contacted me and mentioned she wanted to start a kit club and we have talked about it on and off over the years and so when she emailed me to say she was official and was going to start Gossamer Blue.. I knew I wanted to be on board and this was a good time to jump back in! :)

Today is the grand opening over at Gossamer Blue and I would love if you all would hop over there and check it all out! Lori puts together amazing kits with mixed manufacturers and lots of goodies, also including a svg file with each kit! If you are like me and struggle to step out of the "all from the same paper line" box this is a GREAT kit for you! In addition to the amazing main kit there will be add-on kits as well... each one itself is just more and more amazing! Head over to the Gossamer Blue Blog and check out the giveaways she is offering up... Gossamer Blue kits, Lily Bee Designs packs, Pretty Little Studio goodies, and a Lori Whitlock $20 gift card for svg files and more!

so... without further ado... here are the projects I created with the August Kit...the first layout and card are with the Main Kit only... the rest are a mixture of the Main kit and the add on kits combined! (be nice.... I have put together a layout in months and months ;) ) lol...

First up is a layout about my oldest daughter and my oldest son's girlfriend at prom this year! I just love this layout... when we were starting to take pictures it began to rain so Bonny pulled up her huge hoop skirt on her dress and covered her and Madison until they could get to the car! LOL
Everything here is from the main kit.. I used ink and slightly rubbed it across the Heidi Swapp border and love the results!

I again used only the Main Kit for this card.. I used ink to color the Heidi Swapp banners again here:

Here is my beautiful Makenna... I thought she looked so darn cute on the way home from church I had to stop at the gate and snap a few pictures of her...

These pictures just make me laugh... have you tried to get a GOOD everyone looking at the camera with 5 kids... then add in there the big three are now teenagers and think it's just awesome to hardly smile and make funny faces for each picture... yeah well this is the result! lol

Just a quick layout... I used chalks on the Heidi Swapp banners this go around to give them a softer look:

I loved all the geometric shapes in the Pretty Little Studio 8x8 papers and knew I wanted to cut them up for a page... I love the way this turned out combined with the Hexagon paper too! I have never seen Pretty Little Studio stuff before and I have to say I'm a bit in love! :)

and lastly... a few quick cards using this beautiful August Gossamer Blue kit!

I hope you enjoy my projects :) Now hop on over to the new Gossamer Blue site and get you one or two... or just all of the August kits... you won't regret it!! :) I am so happy and blessed to be apart of this wonderful team... along with Cindy Liebel and Emily Spahn!

Cards!

Just dropping in quickly to share some cards I've done for CPS! :)
Here's #254: Sponsored by Lil'Inkers

and here's #253 sponsored by The Twinery!

it has of course just been crazy here as usual...We finished up basketball season... Morgan getting to go with Varsity to the playoffs and now we are moving into baseball season  and there seem to be games everytime I turn around! That and now track as well! We had our first track meet last night and Morgan running on Varsity (first year)... took 7th in the 800m and 6th in the mile...Madison (freshman) took 3rd in both the 2mile and the mile... she will move to varsity next week! woot!!

then we have the twins Matthew and Makenna playing all stars for basketball and they have practice and games non stop as well!! Just when I think it's gonna slow down, it usually doesn't! LOL

We've been dealing with some teenage heartbreak around here too so there's been lots of mommy time for 2 of them... it's all good though and things work out the way they should!
I think that's a good catch up for now!

Thanks for stopping by! :)
