More GB July goodness!

Heres' some more of my July Gossamer Blue goodness! I had so much fun with this kit!
First layout is just a fun one of my youngest sons last day of school pool party at a friends house... these boys are such a tight knit group they are gonna be fun to watch grow into middle school and beyond!
I fell SO in love with the cork accents in this kit... seriously I want to use them on everything! How cute are they? yum!!

and a few close ups...

and another layout from the pool party... Matthew is so fun about letting me get fun shots of him! love this kid!

This layout just makes me smile... these were a few of the prom photos from Luis and Madi's prom shoot... there are some really sweet ones but these seem to capture them better for sure! Just being silly with each other. The chalkboard tape on here was super fun and neat to add my journaling too at the end!

Oooooh and this little beauty! I took these pictures as soon as we got home from her last day of school... how damn cute is she? It's so hard to believe her and Matt are going to be in middle school next year.. just not possible! sniff sniff! I LOVED that this kit had so many options... this is a soft and pretty girlie layout and the layout about is more dark and has an older feel to it... Great job Lori again on a fabulous well rounded kit!

Well that about sums up this pretty kit... I still have another layout and a set of cards to share... I'll put those up in a few days! :)

We are gearing up for the whirlwind of school starting soon around here... last week of freedom is next week then we start 2 a day football and band and then school starts!
This year is gonna start a few years of me just being a blubbering idiot... Morgan will be a senior this year and Madison a junior and Mitchell a sophomore... so one after the other I will lose them in the house... gracious I'm just not ready! :(
It's time to start deciding on colleges and filling out paperwork and all that....it's go time!

Thanks for stopping by!

July Gossamer Blue projects!

oooooh to say this Gossamer Blue kit was a good one would be an understatement! As soon as I got this kit I dove in and created EIGHT layouts... yeah I said EIGHT! lol.... I could have scrapped so many more layouts with all the fun summer photos I have of the kids, but ran out of time! The awesome thing is... I STILL have tons of kit leftover... I am still shock even after almost a year on the team of how much Lori packs in these kits for us!
So I'm not going to overwhelm you and show them all at one but spread them out a bit! lol

Up first was a layout that came together super fast using lots of premade embellishments and die cuts... gotta love that! I love this picture of my twins friends from a pool party they had a friends house on the last day of 5th grade... yes sniff sniff... they are going to be in middle school next year... seriously WHERE does the time go!

and a few close ups...

Next up are some fun pictures of my oldest daughter Madison...oh what a beauty she is! I wanted to make a fun carefree layout... which totally describes her personality to a T!
 and some close ups
See those little heart geo puffy geo tag stickers by Skipping5.. I fell in total love with them with this kit! I tried to stick them anywhere I could on my layouts.. FUN stuff and neat company! :)

and last as I was searching through old photos I came across these pictures of my middle son Mitchell and I swear my heart melted a little... he is so damn cute! lol There was some fish patterned paper in the 6x6 pad in the Bits & Pieces kit I was giddy with and wanted to use... and so this layout was born!

 and the close up:
I had never really messed with cork or the chalkboard stuff much but after this kit... I find myself reaching for it all the time! That Chalkboard tape... oh my... that stuff was awesome! See the little fish I drew across it in the photo above? the possibilities with that stuff is unlimited!

In life news...
We've been busy beavers around these parts lately. I've had the oldest leave and return from team camp (varsity basketball team camp), the twins leave and return from church camp (first overnight camp for them both) and they did awesome! Madison and Mitch went on their Mission trip week before last and Madison just completed cheer camp this week!
Fun news to share... Mitchell ran in the Glow Run here in town with several hundred people and took THIRD place overall... I was shocked when I saw him rounding the corner not far behind 2nd place but far in front of the 4th place runner.. my little Mitch whooping tons of butt in one of the younger age groups!
Craptastic photo but here he is getting his medal for winning his age division! so proud!
another goodie! Madison was away at cheer camp this week and took home the honor of making All American! This is something at camp that they have to try out for and make to be named... there were over 400 girls at camp! Go Madison! (her on the right... with her bf Stephanie!)

Thanks for stopping by! Stop by again and I plan to share a few more of the layouts I did with the amazing July Gossamer Blue kit!

Core'dinations and Couture Creations Blog Hop!

I'm so excited to share the goods from these two wonderful companies! I know you've been inspired all week by all the wonderful projects our design team has shared... so here is one last day to share and a chance to win! Visit the Core'dinations Blog and the Couture Creations blog, facebook page, and find them on pinterest for your chances to win goodies! :)

This was my first time working with Couture Creations and I was impressed with both the die and the embossing folder... a nice clean cut and a just right embossing... I think I've fallen in love! lol

On my first card I used the Core'dinations Impressions paper and sanded it slightly to reveal it's colored core and tore the edge and adhere it to pink coredinations cardstock. I then used the Whitewash (brown core) and my Couture Creations doily die (CO773224 - Fantasia Collection) and added ribbon and embellishments to finish my card.

On my second card I used the Couture Creations embossing folder (CO723277- Fresh and Fun Collection) for my main focus... I embossed two different shades of Core'dinations pink paper and layered them for this look.

So jump around to all my links for your many chances to win wonderful goodies from these amazing companies! I've loved working with their product!

Check out these two ladies and their creations today as well!

Core'dinations, May Arts, & Stampendous Blog Hop!

We are hopping all week long for some AMAZING prizes! Each company is giving way prizes on their own blogs AND there will be surprise winners on the individual team member blogs as well. Make sure you check back every day for more chances to win!

Here is what I created for you today using Core, May Arts ribbon and Stampendous Stamps

For the base of my card I used Core Impressions (Basic Grey Whimsy Collection) and sanded it pretty good to reveal the colored circles. I then adhered the different colored May Arts ribbon across white cardstock and trimmed and adhered to red cardstock sanding the edges and tearing along the bottom and then adhered it to the center of my card. I tied the May Arts ribbon around the center of the card and used a stick pin in the center. I then stamped the sentiment using the Stampendous stamp and inked the edges and adhered it to finish my card!

June Gossamer Blue projects!

Hey all!
Just dropping in to share my June projects using the oh so wonderful Gossamer Blue June kit! I still can't get over how much Lori gets into each kit!!!

We just made it through prom a few weeks ago and I wanted to do a page with Madison and her friends and all the beautiful dresses that were worn. I loved the frames and used several here to highlight several of the photos! I love the way this turned out! (Madison is obviously the one in the grey dress).... there will be MANY more layouts featuring prom photos coming soon.... she had a whole photo session with a friend and her bf Luis for prom...lol
(this is a main kit only layout)

 and a little close up:

Next is a fun layout of the twins and their class and the back to school pool party we had at a friends house! Talk about a good time! They have a fun fun class!

Next up... BRACE YOURSELF... I made a 2pager!! There were so many fun photos from this pep rally that I knew they wouldn't fit on just one layout... and I'm generally pretty good at getting a crapton of photos on a layout but I decided to branch out and do a 2 pager! The worst part of them for me is getting a good picture of it when I'm finished.... so use your imagination a little here! ;)
and here's the pages by themselves!

and of course a few details shots of all the fun goodies! Here is used the frames more of an embellishment and filled them with fun stuff rather than using them to frame actual photos.. love this!
I have a few more pages from this kit to show but will be back later to show them off!

Summer has finally kicked in around here... I swear it really seems that school just started and here we are at the end already. We have been busy and the summer doesn't look like it will be slowing down any at all. Graduation was just last week and what a tear jerker that was.... just sitting there thinking that next year my oldest will be graduating melts me! We went to watch Madisons boyfriend and the kids graduate and took tons of pics! (coming to a layout near you! lol)... then Madison and Luis with friends went Saturday to the 5K Zombie Run in Dallas and had a blast!!! This summer will consist of both the older boys playing in a Basketball Summer league, Morgan playing 7on7, Kenna playing travel softball, Matthew playing travel soccer, everyone has camps to attend, mission trips, team camps, cheer practices etc.... the days will be chill but the nights will consist of still running all over the county! :)

and a close up of the embossing

I used  mainly the Basic Grey Core Impressions Ornate collection with a little of the Basic Grey Whimsy collection thrown in! To see more and a description of my layout head over to the Core'dinations blog! Be sure to comment on the blog post... they are giving away a pack of cardstock A DAY!!! Good luck!

May GB projects!

Yes I know I'm a little late to the party here.. it's the 11th! LOL
My only excuse it that it's prom and mothers day season! I work up at the flower shop making arrangements and putting together umpteen corsages and bouts for prom... that's all I've done every spare moment for 2 weeks now... so I'm just now getting to my beautiful Gossamer Blue kit layouts for May!

When I got this kit I couldn't wait to get started... there are still so many pages I want to create with this kit! I love the travel theme and have so many photos I want to get in books now... I just need TIME! ugh!

Here's my Main Kit only layout: Just a fun one of all the cute towel creations Chris and I came into the room to see each day on our cruise! :)

Another layout of Christ and I on the cruise! We had so much fun!!

and last one... same cruise.. this was when we got off the boat to go on a Wine Tour (yum!) excursion!

Speaking of cruises... I am SO STINKIN' excited to be leaving this next Saturday for a 7 day cruise with my girlfriends! I need a getaway in a bad way and this will be the fix for sure! I'm so looking forward to it and all the new pics I'll have to scrap too!

Prom is tonight... I'll have some fun pictures to post of my beautiful Madison soon! Morgan is a junior (it's a jr/sr prom) and chooses not to go of course... but promises momma he will go next year for his senior year! lol

Thanks for stopping by! :)
