March GBProjects!

Hi all! Life is as usual busy around these parts!
We are finally done with high school basketball and Morgan has moved on to track season and baseball season... yes they run together so to say he is whooped at night would be an understatement!
Mitchell and Madison have also started track season... we had our first (I say "our" Haha... let's be honest.. this girl isn't running anything! lol)... All three of the older ones run long distance (They got that from their daddy for sure... momma was a sprinter! lol)... Morgan and Mitchell both did very well! Morgan took 2nd in the 2mile and 3rd in the mile running varsity and Mitchell took first in the 2 mile and 3rd in the mile... running excellent times too! Madison is having quad problems so I just won't post her place here... lol
Good news again... Madison made VARSITY cheer again for next year... so excited to have those tryouts behind us again this year... so stressful to say the least!
The twins are just as busy with Makenna playing on a travel basketball team and just now moving into softball season (where I help coach)... and Matthew has moved into the all star basketball season and is picking up soccer again with a traveling team...

and if you have read through all that... bless you. :)

Now onto the good stuff! My March Gossamer Blue projects!!

First up is a page I did of the older two heading out to a New Years party... I Loved these pictures of the kids and wanted to incorporate that fun fringe in the Color Kit... but wasn't quite sure how... I love how this turned out though... so fun and festive! :)

This one might be my favorite for the month... maybe it's just the theme behind it though! lol... Madisons boyfriend had been texting me the whole week of Valentines to help him with ideas for her... and then he asked me to help with ask her to prom for this year. I was of course happy to help! He dropped over 250 tea light candles at my work and asked if I would spell out "prom?" in my driveway so when he brought her home from their Valentines date he could walk her down the hill to see it all lit up... keep in mind we live out in the sticks so it was pitch black besides the words "prom?"... as i lit the last candles and was walking in the house I heard Madison literally *gasp*... made it all worth it... he did a great job... and of course she said YES! :)
The journaling is in the pull out tab next to the title.

up next are some of my favorite pictures i have taken of the twins... i just wanted to put together a fun layout to document them! :)

and lastly a layout of my youngest son Matthew... this is his little group of friends... and they always give each other grief over something of another... today just happened to Matthews day and they were all giving him a hard time about always crossing his arms in pictures... and decided to mimic him! lol

I JUST recieved my April GB kit... I seriously don't know how Lori does it each month putting together this huge bunch of goodness... if you aren't signed up to recieve monthly kits yet... jump.on.it.
seriously... I promise you won't regret it!

February Gossamer Blue!

Hi all!
We are just getting over the nasty flu bug in my house! uughh... that stuff stinks! My oldest is still trying to hold onto it with a nasty cough but for the most part I think we have finally kicked it!

When I recieved my February GB kit my mouth just dropped open... for one it's filled with hearts... my favorite!! Something about Valentine themed kits makes me so happy! The funny thing is... not one of my layouts is Valentine themed... I dug out last years prom pictures and chose to do layouts about love in general! Love how the kit can be used so many different ways!!!

so let's share, shall we?
First up is a layout from my oldest son and his girlfriend at the time at the Prom... LOVE these pictures we had taken (Traci Hernandez Photography) of the two of them...
I used the svg files included in the kit to cut the hearts from the pink paper and used the negative part of it in the design of my layout... love how this turned out!

Next up is a sweet layout of my youngest son and his crush... he has had a crush on this same sweet girl for nearly 2 years... they text non stop and face time all the time... it's the cutest darn thing! lol He isn't allowed (nor is she) to officially be gf/bf... but that doesn't stop them from talking all. the. time! lol so I really wanted to document this sweet moment... this is the first time I think I got them in the same picture! hehe

Next layout just cracks me up... another layout about prom from last year... Ty and Morgan are the best of friends and act more like brothers... my house is their house.. Ty's house is their house... and we are both "mom"... this is about as serious as I could get them when I tried to snap a picture of them... so I figured they needed a "Bromance" page! lol!
again I used the svg file included in the kit to cut the hearts in the bottom corner... I then added patterned paper behind to show through.

Next up is a layout about my oldest daughter Madison and the boy she's been dating since school started... these were picture I took of them at Christmas but I figured they fit the love theme pretty good!

and my last layout is one of my two oldest kids- Morgan and Madison... while having prom pictures taken of them and their dates i had Traci snap several of the two of them together... rarely are they serious and I love how these pictures captured their relationship perfectly!

and lastly... 2 quick cards using the amazing Gossamer Blue February kit! Love how quick these came together by cutting up the 12x12 Carta Bella paper to use as my sentiments!

Thanks for stopping by! :) My March kit is on it's way... and I can't wait to share sneaks of it! :)

January Gossamer Blue projects!

First off HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful New Years Eve! We spend the evening at a family friends house playing games and endulging in a few spirits! :) I spent the rest of the evening making sure all my teenage ducks were safely tucked away for the night... can you say NO SLEEP!? Tonight will be a hot bath and early night for me for sure!
Bring on 2013!

here's a few pics of my older two before they headed out the door... Morgan and his two best friends Shelbi and Cassidy and then Madison with the girls before they went out all together.

And now to share my January projects for GB!! This was once again fabulous kit put together by Lori... I don't know how she seems to do it month after month... seriously if you have checked out her kit... get ya hiney over there and do! I just recieved my February kit... and OH MY HEART I'm in heaven... I LOVE everything about each and every piece of it! :) I think the Valentines-ey and the bright summer kits are my fave type of kits to get! :)

okay onto the goodness :)

First up... It's not often I can get all four boys to sit in the same photo and when I do it's gold! lol... I used lots of pieces from the new COLOR KIT that Lori has added to the monthly kits... genius! :) That American Crafts glitter tape/ribbon is to die for! The four boys are all called "The Fierce Four" hence the name of the title :)

Next up is a Main Kit only layout (with the pdf files- snowflakes)... We decided to make gingerbread houses one day and Madisons boyfriend came over to participate and I snapped these shots of their little icing fight... nothing can ever be just normal at my house I swear! LOL good times and memories for sure!

And the last one is one that I just wanted to put a lot of photos of these girls on a page... and obviously was fighting the 2 pager! LOL I love all these cute shots I got of Makenna and her friends after their 5th grade Christmas party... so fun to see them all interact together! It's hard to believe that next year the twins will be up on the hill in middle school... time sure does go too fast! :(

and then a few quick cards... I seriously wanted to use so many of the stamps from the kit because I don't feel like I stamp enough... and so this is what I came up with... ya like? lol

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you all have a blessed 2013 year!! muah!! :)

December GB projects and more!!

If you are stopping by to check out my DD album... er.. um... I have been taking pictures but I"m waiting on ink to come in so I can print and get my pictures in the album!! :) it's coming! LOL

We have been in football world here in Eastland, Texas! Up until last week :( we have been playing in the playoffs... we had a tough loss last week but still so proud of our boys for making it again to the Quarterfinals this year! We have been in pep rally and 'prepare and live for Fridays' mode around here... anyone in Texas can attest to the madness that comes with the Friday night lights! :) I love it though... as much as I'm sad to see it go I'm excited for basketball season to start! Here are a few pictures from playoffs!

The girls did a skit during the pep rally where they choose a boy to immitate.. and of course Madison chose her boy Luis... so she is decked out in his hat and jersey here:
then showing off some sweet moves acting like the boys! lol
her and Luis after a win!

This was one of the big signs in the gym for the last pep rally:
a picture of the varsity cheerleaders...
here is a picture at the end of the pep rally... that's the middle school student body behind the football players and cheerleaders (yes that's ALL of them 6th-8th).. the high school kids and parents sit facing the cheerleaders... (we are a TINY school.. lol)... see that big ol sign? a friend and I spent a day painting that bad boy for this pep rally... all.day.long... so worth it though.. it kicked butt! :)
this is the good stuff in a small town... in front of the stadium we all gather to send our boys off.. the come down the main street in buses honking and we set off balloons, yell and holler and hold big ol signs! The whole town and all the school age kids will come out down the route to send them off.. this was just in front of the stadium where we were....

Exciting stuff! :)

Alrighty now here are my November GB projects!

First up is some shots of Makenna I got on her first day of 5th grade.. she is growing up WAY too fast this little one! I loved the flowers in the paper and cut them out and used them as embellishments to pull out the flower pattern in her skirt.

These are some older pictures that I love and wanted to get scrapped... from a friends wedding last summer! Love all the kids... they are like family for us!

Here was my main kit only layout... I used my new Cameo <3 a="a" and="and" background="background" circle="circle" cut="cut" daddy...="daddy..." daughter="daughter" do="do" dress="dress" fun="fun" he="he" her="her" him="him" just="just" lets="lets" lol="lol" loves="loves" my="my" of="of" p="p" page="page" pattern.="pattern." she="she" still="still" the="the" to="to" up="up" wanted="wanted" youngest="youngest">

and then just a few quick cards... LOVED this fun bright kit!
here's just a hodge podge card.. not really sure what's going on here I just loved all these tags and wanted to use them somehow together... so this is what I came up with! LOL
I just recieved my January GB kit.. I don't know how Lori does it but they keep getting better and better!!! Can't wait for my ink to come in so I can get busy creating!!!
Thanks for stopping by! :)

November GB projects!

This beautiful Gossamer Blue kit has been hands down my favorite kit *so far* to work with... the colors were amazing and everything just "fit"! I wish I had more time to play with this kit, I could have created forever I think.... this is one that will get pulled out again to make more goodness!
First up is a page about my oldest daughter and her best friend Derrick. This kid has been by my daughters side since we moved here almost 5 years ago... they are thick as thieves and are so wonderful together. I love their friendship! This will be one of those friendships that last far beyond high school! And I am rarely able to get good pictures of these two because they go stupid as soon as I pull out my camera... so I treasure this one! LOL
 and a quick close up!
Next up... when I saw this map paper in the kit I knew I needed to search through and find some of my pictures from when we lived in Germany. These Holland pictures were perfect! I took all these shots when we went to Holland on a girls trip for Mothers Day one year with 3 of my closest friends... this was one of my favorite trips ever!! The scenery was beautiful! These pictures are just of the little place we stayed while visiting there... the top right picture was our view of the canal when we opened our door... hello beautiful!!!
a few close ups of the page...

And last but not least... my girls!! I snapped these pictures after church one day and they are some of my favorites!! but then I think I say that everytime I take pictures of the girls! They look so much alike but their personalities couldn't be more different!! lol

Well thanks for stopping by my blog! Have a great week!
