Core'dination's and Tombow Blog Hop - Day Four

Having fun yet?? Inspired?  I've seen some fabulous projects, cards and layouts so far how about you?  I have a little more inspiration today and I know all the rest of the girls do too so be sure to stop by everyone's blog for a chance to win some wonderful prizes!  Tombow products work so well with Core'dination's cardstock!  A great match for a blog hop!
I wanted to create a blue wintery card so I looked to the Core Pastels collection and combined that with the Whitewash Collection to create my card. I folded the whitewash cardstock in half and sanded around the edges and used my ScorPal to emboss the lines around the edge then turned it over and using my Sand It Gadget sanded slightly around the edges to reveal the dark blue core. I then ran the 2 shades of pastel Core through my Cuttlebug and sanded each snowflake carefully. In hindsight I should have left them together and sanded the whole thing before removing the die cut...it would have made it easier and it all not as delicate. I adhered the light blue snowflake using the liquid Tombow glue and then used the clear tabs (I stacked 2 on top of each other to give the snowflake more depth) to adhere the darker blue snowflake. I added jewels and stamped some to complete my card!

What a lovely snowflake card.
Such a good idea to use the white cardstock - I just purchased some and will try this with the pastel colors in my baby book I have to get finished yet this month. Thanks for your splendid idea with the cardstock.
