And she's back....

Whew nothing like a little computer being down to throw a wrench in everything!

It's up and running and so is my mojo!! yeah!!

First up the goods: My Core'dinations projects for the month. This first layout took forever to form in my head before it finally happened, but I am loving the results though... I honestly never knew I would love cardstock layouts so much!

Next up is yet another layout I did with the Noel Mignon "Love Story" kit... I can't get enough of that bad boy... i still have the following kit from her that I haven't touched yet and it's all bright fun colors so I know I will dive into that soon!Ok... so we have been busy around here...
The girls have been taking dance class all year (they have been in for several years now)... and the recital was last weekend and oh my they looked so stinkin' cute! I have a couple pictures of them in costume. Makenna was in 3 dances and Madison 2...

So not sure if I told the syrup story or not for Makenna... awhile back she got syrup in her hair after eating pancakes for breakfast and I asked her to go to the bathroom and get the syrup out of her hair... can you see where this is leading? yeah..

she cut it... 2 chunks off either side.

I patiently waited until after recital to cut all her hair off... the two little wings were driving me nuts so finally this past weekend as soon as all the recital hoopla was over we cut it... and I LOVE IT!! She bounces all over the house bopping it back and forth, waaaay too cute! I am thinking of going a bit shorter with it too, not sure yet... whatcha think?

I am on a friends computer.. mine is still on the fritz... I have it in the shop and hoping to get it back today!!

Little Glitch...

Well my baby (the laptop) is off being fixed this weekend, I am hoping I can get it back on Monday.... darn thing isn't but just over a year old to boot!

My mom is up this weekend for the girls recital so I am enjoying time with her...and she brought up her laptop! yeah!!...so I will be on Monday (hopefully) if the darn thing is fixed!!

Just wanted to drop by and wish you all a Happy Easter!

I got this shot of the kids at the park the other day for the Easter Egg Hunt sitting with the Easter Bunny! Morgan was none to thrilled but finally sat still and gave me a bit of a smile! Madison tried to smile but with that tube thing in her mouth it's difficult (it comes out tomorrow.. yeah!!)

anywho... here it is... let me tell you trying to get a good shot of all of them is like herdin' cats... nearly impossible!

So happy to be back!!

Oh I am so happy to be back!!

New York is BUSY, go go go.... I realize I like my slow small town life a LOT!

I had such a blast in NY!!!
Where do I start!?! We saw the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island (oh I was in heaven, I love reading all about that kind of stuff).. it's amazing what people did/do to get into this country! We saw the Empire State Building, Ground Zero (wow!!), Times Square, ate the BEST pizza ever and in some of the yummiest restuaurants! We saw lots of good stuff!

The best I have to say though is just hanging out with this girl:

We are in Central Park for this picture just hanging out, her daughter (whom I consider my niece) took this picture of us just being us, love that!

I took 884 pictures so it will take me quite some time to get through them all... I can't wait to scrap them, I have layouts just running through my head!

On the home front.

I think Jay got a good dose of my everyday. His dad came to visit for a bit while I was gone and asked Jay "wow, do you do this all this time, this is amazing".... he said "No, but Kim does!".

*sigh*

While I was gone Madi developed a absess (spelling?) in her cheek from where it was hit and got stuck in all the metal in her mouth. Her cheek swole up huge and Jay took her into the doctor and she ended up having mouth surgery the day before I came home. She currently has a tube in there to help it drain, we go back on Monday. Poor baby, she is in lots of pain!

The morning before I come back Jay also gets a call that he needs to pick up Makenna from school she is running a fever and throat hurts... oh the joys!
The minute I heard the kids were sick I was ready to leave New York!

Anywho... nothing too exciting scrap wise to share... I have the urge to create though, plan to tonight so hopefully I can share this week!

We are off tomorrow to celebrate Easter while Jay is here (he leaves out on Sunday morning), we will do a egg hunt in town then out to Jens for dinner and fun!

Oh I am just giddy with excitment! I leave out tomorrow morning to meet my best friend Chris in New York. I am really looking forward to the getaway and seeing NY. I'm sure I will have tons of pictures to share when I get home! I'll be back Thursday. Jay came in last night to watch the kids and I am getting his schedule all typed up and such... he will be BUSY trying to get the kids everywhere they need to go *snicker*. But I figure if I still have 5 kids waiting on me when I get home I consider it successful! :)

Proud Mommy!!

Well Madison had her band solos/ensemble competition last week and I am so proud to report she recieved 1+ 's in each of her solos and in her ensemble!!! She plays percussion and was recenlty moved up to the Middle School Band to perform when a slot became open. She plays the snare and mallets and has been first chair most of the year... SO proud!! She is enjoying band and I can see her continueing through high school!
Not sure if you can see, but Madison got some kickin' highlights too in her hair!! I'll try to take a better picture of it and post soon!

Then I have been a bit Jillibean Soup happy this month and wanted to share a few fun projects with you all... first up in a layout that just talks about how proud I am of Madison making goals for herself this year and reaching them.

I spent the day shopping with the girls yesterday to get some new clothes for myself for New York!! Did I mention I am GOING... oh I'm excited!!!
It is so hard to buy things for myself its crazy... I keep thinking 'but I could get this for so and so'... etc.... thankfully the girls were firm and I walked away with some goodies for myself!
